How its made part 1, 2 , 3 and 4 (Kite Production - Ventum Kiteboarding)
Did you know that it takes roughly 40 hours of human labor to manufacture a 9m kite?
In this first clip you see the lasers cutting the dacron of our kites. Lasers are extreme accurate. Both dacron and canopy are cut this way for our kites. https://www.facebook.com/VentumKB/vi...5912437644699/ Prints on kites are applied via screen printing. Canopy and dacron are hydrophobic materials hence the inks are a mixture of special ingredients in a delicate ratio for different colors of ink. Before a new color is applied the ink has gone through a development phase where it is quality checked on the materials to avoid cracking, peeling off or discoloring. Small screens can be handled by a single person while large prints may require up to 5 people to handle. https://www.facebook.com/VentumKB/vi...3937390465985/ Before any sewing is applied, the fabrics were sticked together by double sided tape. It’s a high precision job. Once the fabrics are sticked together they get sewn. Sticking and sewing are labor extensive tasks that require skilled people. Ventum kites are produced under strict quality standards and procedures of Lowland Sports. Each piece of canopy was checked on a light table 4 times during its transition from a roll of fabric to a finalized kite to ensure no damaged panels or mistakes in printing or sewing gets unnotified. https://www.facebook.com/VentumKB/vi...3563014677842/ The struts and leading edge form the skeleton of the kite. Any weakness in these parts may result in an exploding kite. These parts are typically made of Dacron. In our kites we use Dimension Polyant dacron from Germany. All seams, bridle attachment points, inflate, deflate, zipper or one-pump hole requires extra reinforcement and techniques to give the optimal construction strength. Strict Lowland Sports quality checks are applied on all parts before being handing over to the next stage. https://www.facebook.com/VentumKB/vi...7514011517626/ More to come! |

Nice, would like to see these videos Do you have them on Youtube or Vimeo, too? I really don't like FB videos.
Edit: Watched them on FB, anyways. Still think they would be great in a playlist on Youtube. Very nice, thanks! Looking forward for more videos from kite production! Geändert von Smeagle (15.09.2019 um 14:59 Uhr) |
