Slingshot 2016
Für 2016 gibt es neu von Slingshot ein Wave Kite - Name KITE WAVE SST
Grössen: 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 2016 KITE WAVE SST 6 / 8 / 10 / 12M SKU# 16140 Slingshot is thrilled to introduce a radical new kite to its 2016 lineup – the Wave SST. With a design that will redefine the meaning of a true surf-specific kite, the Wave SST (Slingshot Surf Technology) features a Compact-C canopy and compact direct-connect bridal that looks like a cross between an RPM and a Rally, but performs unlike any kite on the market. Built with significant and unrivaled upgrades to Slingshot’s already bombproof construction, the Wave SST (offered in 6, 8, 10 and 12 meter sizes) is sturdy enough to take a pounding in the surf, but light enough to track magically downwind, downloop on a dime and whip across the window at the flick of a wrist. For kiters serious about taking their wave skills to the next level, the Wave SST is the kite to take them there. The Wave SST is equipped with a modified version of Slingshot’s revolutionary new shock-absorbing IRS bridal (featured on the 2015 RPM), which provides instant feedback and response, unrivaled stability and is condensed enough that it can’t get wrapped around wingtips if rolled in the surf. With a shape that favors serious downwind drift, unbelievable turning speed even when fully sheeted-out and a feather-light feel when shredding down the line, slashing faces and bottomturning, the Wave SST has set a new standard for what a wave kite can do for its riders. Slingshot coined the term “Surf Tough” nearly 15 years ago with its unique seam technology, and its designers have taken that concept to another level with the Wave SST. The kite is constructed with an extra heavy duty Rip Stop Surf Grid canopy material and has extra panels reinforced in a gridded quilt pattern to provide increased strength in the event of a water landing. These upgrades compliment Slingshot’s already rock-solid construction that makes our kites the most resilient on the market. Although built specifically for surf, the Wave SST is also an outstanding kite for easy-going strapless riders and the rapidly-growing fraction of foil boarders due to its incredible depower, feather-light feel and unrivaled turning characteristics. All of Slingshot’s 2016 kites come with our new One Pump Speed System, which increases inflation efficiency to get you out on the water faster and with less energy than before. 1 COMPACT C Blends the proven C kite performance characteristics like power, stability, edging, control and direct feel with an innovative compact wave shape that deliver faster turns, improved aerodynamics, and increased rigidity. Allows for a feather lite feel and a kite capable of flying further forward in the wind window. 2 THREE STRUT Improves the Drifting capabilities. 3 COMPACT DIRECT CONNECT BRIDLE A much more compact bridle design - built to eliminate line tangling in the surf. 4 MODIFIED IRS BRIDLE The Wave SST is equipped with a modified version of Slingshot’s revolutionary new shockabsorbing IRS bridal, which provides instant feedback and response, unrivaled stability and is condensed enough that it can’t get wrapped around wingtips if rolled in the surf. 5 RIP STOP SURF GRID A material with extra panels reinforced in a gridded quilt pattern providing increased strength in high stress areas. 6 RE-ENFORCED SEAMS Reinforced glued seams and additional stitching increases the durability and life of the kite. 7 T9600 TEIJIN CANOPY A high tenacity polyester yarn that is tear resistant, super light yet very durable. 8 45˚ ANTI-RIP BIAS CUT Panel layout and construction has been designed, built and cut to stop rips and tears before they start. Taped seams aid in protecting against weak points as well. 9 ONE PUMP SPEED SYSTEM Dramatically reduces inflation effort and time during setup, as well as making for a faster, easier, hassle-free deflation of the kite. 10 SPLITSTRUT INTEGRATION Splitstrut integrates the strut and canopy into one rigid wing creating a lighter, stable and more durable kite. This construction is proven to enhance power delivery under heavy load and creates efficiency in the overall frame. 11 TRI-TECH PROTECTION Ballistic Kevlar, Mark Cloth, and Neoprene. Individual scuff guards, strategically placed in the most vulnerable areas of the kite to optimize durability. 12 SURF TOUGH SEAMS Sets the standard for minimizing and containing canopy tears. Now with improved, reinforced trailing edge durability.

Naish, Liquid Force, Slingshot....
Aber mal abwarten, was da nachher wirklich kommt. Was muss man sich darunter vorstellen? |

Hier mal was zum FUEL 2016:
FUEL SKU# 16100 7 / 9 / 11 / 13M As the foremost expert in explosive C-kite performance, the Fuel has consistently pushed the envelope for both the kite industry and the hard-charging athletes who make it shine. Slingshot has refined the Fuel’s legendary construction and traditional-C design over the years, making this the go-to kite for riders looking for aggressive grunt, unhooked authority, power, boost and insane looping capabilities. In 2016 we’ve continued with the well-received detachable four-point Nitrous bridal system introduced last year. This new addition, along three customization settings - Mega Loop, Freestyle and Freeride - gives riders increased flexibility and freedom in how the kite performs. When installed (the bridal comes factory installed but can be easily removed), the Nitrous system delivers explosive pop, massive hangtime and, most notably, increased range and depower. All of Slingshot’s 2016 kites come with our new One Pump Speed System, which increases inflation efficiency to get you out on the water faster and with less energy than before. 2016 FUEL 7m 9m 11m 13m 1 TRADITIONAL C Consistent grunt and stability through the powerstroke. Boosts, mega loops and predictably recovers. 2 NITROUS BRIDLE Truly customized kite performance for riding style and conditions. Easily set to wake or freestyle settings to match your preferred preference. Mega loop, Freestyle and Freeride 3 ONE PUMP SPEED SYSTEM Dramatically reduces inflation effort and time during setup, as well as making for a faster, easier, hassle-free deflation of the kite. 4 SPLITSTRUT INTEGRATION Splitstrut integrates the strut and canopy into one rigid wing creating a lighter, stable and more durable kite. This construction is proven to enhance power delivery under heavy load and creates efficiency in the overall frame. 5 TRI-TECH PROTECTION Ballistic Kevlar, Mark Cloth, and Neoprene. Individual scuff guards, strategically placed in the most vulnerable areas of the kite to optimize durability. 6 SURF TOUGH SEAMS Sets the standard for minimizing and containing canopy tears. Now with improved, reinforced trailing edge durability. 7 SCUFF GUARD Proetects the wing tips and leading edge against wear 8 DP 175 DACRON DP 175 Dacron is a high tenacity, high modulus material that is extremely resistant to bias stretch and retains a bo structure. Thats why we incorporate this material in every strut and leading edge we build. Zitat:

COMPSTICK [ ] W/ GUARDIAN BELOW THE BAR 11 3 17” x 20m SKU# 16382017 20” x 23m SKU# 16382020 23” x 27m SKU# 16382023 Rider simplicity has been at the core of Slingshot’s design principals since the beginning, and we continue that philosophy with the 2016 Compstick and Guardian safety system. Built for ultimate control and confidence, the Compstick’s intuitive and streamlined below-the-bar depower and safety is unrivaled by any other bar on the market. With continuous improvement in mind, we’ve added several upgrades to 2016 Compstick, including new molded floats and padded bar-ends, a revised EVA grip design, bar-end bungee line-keepers and an improvement in how the in how the floats fold in for storage. These updates compliment the revolutionary features and components that have made the Compstick the trusted bar of choice for hard-charging riders around the world. The Compstick is offered in the universal 20” bar with 23 meter lines, which can be used with any kite size in our lineup. For more specialized riders, we also offer a 17” bar with 20 meter lines for smaller kites and a 23” bar with 27 meter lines for larger kite. Slingshot’s internalbungee kite leash has also been upgraded in 2016 with a shorter overall length and sturdier molded-metal carabiner clips for added strength. 1 EASY REACH DEPOWER Consistent grunt and stability through the powerstroke. Boosts, mega loops and predictably recovers. 2 GUARDIAN SAFETY SYSTEM The safety release has been reworked from a pin to a clamp mechanism, which simplifies resetting the chicken loop assembly after it has been activated. Includes a re-sized chicken loop and a molded donkey dik assembly. 3 AUTO-SPIN SWIVEL Rotating component untwists center lines and helps ensure proper safety function at all times. 4 ACTIVE STOPPER BALL On-the-fly adjustment piece that allows rider to set amount of throw in the bar. 5 RIDER SIMPLICITY Chicken loop, safety release and depower cleat integrated into one user-friendly component, eliminating clutter on other parts of the bar. 6 PADDED BAR ENDS W/ BUNGEE LINE-KEEPERS Preventing board dings and injuries. And helps to keep your bar and lines organized while not in use. 7 REDESIGNED MOLDED FLOATS In additon to keeping the bar floating and protecting the rider from injury, the updated design is slim and sleek. 8 IMPROVED FLOAT STORAGE Reengineered to fold easily for storing. 9 REDESIGNED EVA GRIP All new non-slip grip texturing coupled with an ergonic design to reduce hand fatigue in all conditoins. 10 DUAL OH-SHIT HANDLES Signature redundent Slingshot safety. 11 PRECISION CUT 800 LB. FLYING LINES 800 lb. precision cut flying lines. Our lines are 60% stronger than the 500 lb. flying lines the competition uses. 12 REDESIGNED LEASH + MOLDED-METAL CARABINER Upgraded for 2016 with a shorter overall length and sturdier moldedmetal carabiner clips for added strength. COMPSTICK [ W/ SENTINEL 17” x 20m SKU# 16383017 20” x 23m SKU# 16383020 23” x 27m SKU# 16383023 ABOVE THE BAR ] Slingshot is upping the ante in 2016 by adding an entirely new bar setup to its arsenal. The Compstick with Sentinel safety is an above-the-bar system that moves the depower strap from the waist-level position of our below-the-bar setup to the arms-reach location that some riders prefer. With a sliding trim block that moves the depower cleat up and down the center lines, riders can adjust the height of the depower rope depending on their reach and the amount of throw they want in the bar. The Sentinel uses the same updated control bar as the 2016 Guardian, but comes with a completely reworked chicken loop and safety release system and a molded below the bar Spin-to-Win mechanism that allows riders to untwist center-lines with ease. The Compstick is offered in the universal 20” bar with 23 meter lines, which can be used with any kite size in our lineup. For more specialized riders, we also offer a 17” bar with 20 meter lines for small kites and a 23” bar with 27 meter lines for large kite. Slingshot’s internalbungee kite leash has also been upgraded in 2016 with a shorter overall length and sturdier molded-metal carabiner clips for added strength. 1 ABOVE THE BAR MOVEABLE TRIM BLOCK Consistent grunt and stability through the powerstroke. Boosts, mega loops and predictably recovers. 2 SENTINEL SAFETY SYSTEM The safety release has been reworked from a pin to a clamp mechanism, which simplifies resetting the chicken loop assembly after it has been activated. Includes a re-sized chicken loop and a molded donkey dik assembly. 3 SPIN-TO-WIN/KIND REWIND UNTWIST MECHANISM This rotating component connects directly to the Sentinel safety system and lets riders untwist lines with ease after tricks and kiteloops. 4 REDESIGNED EVA GRIP All new non-slip grip texturing coupled with an ergonic design to reduce hand fatigue in all conditions. 5 REDESIGNED MOLDED FLOATS In additon to keeping the bar floating and protecting the rider from injury, the updated design is slim and sleek. 6 PADDED BAR ENDS W/ BUNGEE LINE-KEEPERS Preventing board dings and injuries. And helps to keep your bar and lines organized while not in use. 7 IMPROVED FLOAT STORAGE Reengineered to fold easily for storing. 8 AUTO-SPIN SWIVEL Rotating component untwists center lines and helps ensure proper safety function at all times. 9 PRECISION CUT 800 LB. Zitat:
