Hi Arum,
You are totally right : we advice not to kitesurf at Sao Pedro for 2 reasons:
- wind is offshore
- the kite on the beach (sometimes has a lagoon) can interfere with the airport radar.
Only on some
very rare occasions, we take advanced riders to Sao Pedro upon their insistence, but we only do so, making sure to get on the sea water fast and having a rescue boat ready.
But honestly: it should not be necessary to go kiting there. The main spot Salamansa is far better and safer.
