Press Release - December 2016

Levitaz Race-Team right up at the front of the 2016 Hydrofoil Pro Tour

After tour stops in Mexico, USA, and Mauritius, the last tour stop of the Hydrofoil Pro Tour which took place in Rockingham, Australia, was a great success for the Levitaz team.

Rarely does a small city like Rockingham get an opportunity to shape the future of sailing. But the coastal community just 25 min south of Perth, Western Australia, has whole-heartedly embraced the chance to make history at the cutting-edge of kite hydrofoil racing and sailing.

According to the organizers, the event was a huge success due to the large number of participants and spectators. Through the full race drone coverage by Benni Geislinger, a live stream and professional commentators, viewers were able to follow the event at first hand.

The Final Results of the Open Hydrofoil Pro Tour has played host to the largest kite hydrofoil fleet racing together in international competition. 55 kitefoilers jockeying on the start line under the relentless Australian sun made a truly impressive spectacle. Five Levitaz team riders are ranked among the top ten riders proving that Levitaz is one step ahead. After 17 races with 14 races to count, Oliver Bridge won second place, followed by Florian Gruber (5th place), Guy Bridge (7th), Martin Dolenc (8th) and Adrian Geislinger (10th).

After the events in Mexico, USA, Mauritius and Rockingham, the overall results of the Hydrofoil Pro Tour are quite promising for Levitaz. Four Levitaz team riders are among the 10 best racers: Oliver Bridge (2nd), Florian Gruber (4th), Adrian Geislinger (5th) and Toni Vodisek (6th). The race equipment of Levitaz proves unlimited possibilities regarding the speed of their team riders.
