I would kindly recommend our kitemafia pal not to encourage by any means the practice of kitesurfing in Can Pastilla - Playa de Palma.

Can Pastilla/Arenal are the most populous city beaches where thousands and thousands of tourists -mostly innocent German national visitors- and other local sunbathers, lay on the sand and swim at the sea.

Spanish laws are severe about coastal law infringements by practicing any sort of water sports inside an area of the 200 mts from the beach, for evident reasons, it is dangerous for other beach users and swimmers and it is absolutely not adviceable for any beach users sake, neither for your pocket as it is penalized with 3000 euros.

Therefore, even when it is frequent to see some reckess/egoist private kiters kitesurfing in Can Pastilla beach, as the kitemafia great video shows, people that decide to do so, do it under their own responsibility and in any case, an accident may relapse in a definitive ban in the área ... if not in the whole island.
