How?
If you bar (chicken loop) is connected and locked to your harness, I dont believe you can break the flag line. To break the flag line, you need to have high tension on the line, e.g because the you release your kite.. But this is not the case you say. Kite and chicken loop was not release...
If they flag line for some reason breaks, e.g. a cut, the kite just wont release - it is still connected to your harness with the chicken loop.
The flag line is a part of a two strike release system.
If the flag like breaks at the point you show, the main release will not release.. And you should still have the same tension on both front lines due to the knots in the V... You never have tension on the flag line at the point you show unless the kites has been released..
If your chicken loop breaks the flag like will be activated (but should still not break - different case as you describe..)
So I just dont see how it can happen as you mention - the kite must be released prior to the flag line can break, or..?
