Important to mention that if you come to Mallorca with real kiting intentions, the best advice is to be up here in Pollensa bay at around 12h, if there's forecast of N, even earlier, 9 or 10h the latest. Why? because you risk to lose the best wind moments.

Lately we have received a group of south german kiters who lodged in the south of the island, but they are not having much succes down there, so they moved here and with their 17 mts Core they had some fun.

A couple of days ago we had 25 kts N/NE for 4 steady hours. The bad part? no photos which catch the moment, I was too busy kiting myself with my 10 mts.

Lately, thermals are blowing not as often as we'd like, anyhow, we've have enjoyed a couple of great weekends with winds between 12 and 16 kts and ... not just for a while but 3-4 steady hours daily.

12 and 10 mts kites were the size, though generally you need 14-16 and bigger if you want to kite every day

After a couple of cloudy days of 10/12 knots, things are becoming sunnier.

Also, bei der Aussage "fast täglich" muss ich meine erfahrung mal beisteuern. Ich war in den letzten Jahren für insgsamt 4 Wochen da (Mai/Juni) und war genau 2 mal auf dem Wasser (wobei 1 mal echt gut war).....

I'm afraid I must contradict Michael. In Mallorca we are kiting daily.
Another thing is if you arrive to the beach at the wrong time or if you have just a kite
and a small board, in that case you may not succeed so much. That's what it is, I am sorry! -To state opposite-

Still no swimming areas at Alcudia Beach? I was there 2 weeks ago, nearly every day wind, was fucking great :-) . Coming back, soon.

I'm here in alcudia since 1,5 weeks and we've had 3 high wind days and maybe 5 low wind days until now. Wind seems to pick up for tomorrow and Friday.:-D :-D Thats the best year since a long time for me, there where other years where it wasnt 8/10 but 2/10. I think you need to have a plan b and dont expect 25kts but rather 15. At the moment you can still kite everywhere but that's over 1st of May.

Foil kiter seem to be able to go out every day.
